Ownership and Genealogy

A  thought-provoking blog post, by James Tanner of Star Genealogy is a discussion on what is owned and not owned in genealogy.

Australian laws are very similar to US laws – “facts can not be copyrighted”. As James Tanner quotes ,”you would have to add some original work to the research rather than just the facts and even then, only the original work would be subject to copyright claims. ”
