GFHS Lighthouse white

A bit of interesting trivia …….

In the centre of our logo stands the Point Moore Lighthouse with it’s searching beams.

This icon which is located south of the Geraldton Port was built in 1878 and is the oldest surviving Commonweath lighthouse in Western Australia. It was also the first steel tower (built in Birmingham and then shipped to Australia in pieces) to be constructed on the mainland of Australia. It’s distinct red and white painted bands were not added until 1969.
