The flip side of genealogy is that we will change roles one day from being a descendant to an ancestor.

“This Is Me Challenge” workshop

This practical workshop will be jam-packed with fun, simple, creative and clever ideas to show you how to start recording/preserving your memories and living history.

You are the only one who knows your story……..so come along and learn some new ideas to tell it your way!!

When: Saturday 8th November commencing at 9.30a.m

Where: The Exhibition Room, The Residency, 321 Marine Tce

Please bring along a notepad/paper, pens, your ipad/tablet or laptop and a friend if you wish 🙂

The Marsh Family Dynasty

Next Oral History Morning: The Marsh Family Dynasty, Wednesday 19 November, 10.00amThe story of the Marsh Family Dynasty will be told through a multi-media presentation of photos, video, commentary and taped recordings at the Geraldton Regional Library. The first Geraldton Marsh was Daniel Marsh who was transported to Western Australia on the Hougoumont, the last convict ship to arrive in Fremantle. Remarkably, Daniel Marsh went on to become one of early Geraldton’s most successful businessmen.

Members of the Marsh family will be present at the morning, including the centenarian, “Pom” Marsh.
