Geraldton Family History Society’s Invite you to a full Day Workshop
Speaker – Diane Evans on “Tracing your convicts”– rolling out a new data base full of records and information, this is an exciting project. Hear the stories and travels with there new lives and much more.
Speaker- Marjorie Bly with One to a million records hear more about the Archives website, the amazing breadth of the collection and how to access it online. The morning will feature an information session on what is in the collection with a focus on the Geraldton area. The afternoon workshop will feature step by step instructions on how to use the Archives’ online collection database, Record Search, to its fullest effect. By the end of the day you will be able to comfortably use the website to find your own family treasures in the Archives collection!
The millions of records in the collection of the National Archives of Australia hold the memory of our nation. Do you have a family member who migrated to Australia in the 20thCentury? Or has a family member served during a World War? The Archives likely holds fascinating documents that are of great value to family historians and other users and they are becoming easier to access every day.
