Saturday 8th March, saw many members and prospective members enjoy the experience  of genealogist Nicole Edwards’s  workshop,  – “Researching on your family tree online”.

The group were treated to many tips on how to progress, where to gain information on the internet, and numerous websites in which to get started.

They were given the steps to start researching by filling out the basic information to see what was missing in the areas which were needed to complete an ancestors sheet.

How to look for the right questions to ask, maybe from even  a living relative.

What you can do when the research dries up and you hit that brick wall. Everyone attended is now enthused to check out the tips and follow the hints to carry on there research and so The Geraldton Family History Society, look forward  to seeing the new members in the room checking out even more records both online and microfiche.
